Lion

A 6 year old or a child in kindergarten (the year prior to first grade) joins Cub Scouting with their parent or adult guardian. Lions and their adult partners are just that, partners. They attend meetings together, go on adventures like field trips together, and complete requirements together. A Lion does not work on the Bobcat badge.
The time you and your son spend in Lion Cubs is meant to be fun, a chance to get to know one another better, and an opportunity do things with your family as well as other members of the Lion Cub group whom you see at monthly meetings. A Lion Cub Scout works on five achievements:
-
Lion’s Honor
-
Animal Kingdom
-
Fun on the Run!
-
King of the Jungle
-
Mountain Lion
Our Goals: A family, home, and community centered program that encourages ethical decision making skills.
Summary: The boys participate with their adult partners. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, and family understanding.
